Sawing in Half Illusion
The assistant is placed on the table. A neck shackle and ankle shackle are locked on to her. Two empty boxes are shown and placed over her, completely covering her, while her hands and feet are sticking out through the doors. Then a large circular saw cuts through the assistant, clearly sawing her in half.
After removing the saw, the magician inserts two blades into the waist of the assistant and the two halves of the assistant are moved apart. As the assistant has been in full view of the audience throughout the performance, they can clearly see that the assistant actually has been cut in half and separated.
The table halves are then moved back together and the blades are removed, then the assistant gets down from the table completely unharmed.
