How It Works
A cord runs through each end of the hollow stick. Attached to the ends of the cords are large, fluffy pom poms in different colors. You can pull the cords back and forth through the stick to apparently prove they are not connected – but the audience is being misled.
To create confusion, you pull one cord, seemingly doubling its length. Miraculously, the pom pom on the opposite end rises upward. From that moment on, every time you pull an end, that cord becomes long on its own – creating the illusion of at least six separate cords inside the stick.
With endless comic variations, you keep pulling the ends, leaving the audience completely bewildered. Then comes the powerful climax: suddenly both cords become long. You pull the stick apart – revealing that the two cords have never been connected. The audience’s amazement is real and obvious!
Snap the two halves back together. To prove the magic is still alive, resume pulling the cords as before. Finally, take a well‑deserved bow. This routine always gets a huge reaction – and it’s so easy you’ll love performing it.
